The Treasure of a Career

In most omiscan treasure rooms, you’ll find two chests.

In the second chest I open, I find riches and treasure beyond anything I’ve ever seen before. The kind of treasure that, for a treasure hunter like me, tops all of your expectations, fulfills your wildest dreams.

I’m not saying I’m done exploring, far from it. On the contrary. Reader, when I open this treasure chest, I know I’ve completed the aspiration I’d had all my life. And I’m hungry for more exploring. But I know after this, I won’t be looking for any treasure wildest than the gold and relics I hold in my hands now.

Skillful Waltz Through the Temple 

You know the drill already. And better yet, I do too. For the first time, I waltz through the temple, never stepping on a trap, never pulling a wrong lever, with the confidence of skillful experience.

Of course, no one is there to witness it. I don’t know what my colleagues up in the first room are trying to do, but at no point do I run into them in the corridors. I’m starting to understand why it never felt like anyone else brought anything to the museum.
