Steamy Waters

How we never heard of the secret parties that happen some nights at the bluffs while we were teens is a mystery.

But we know about them now, so on one such night, the six of us, the Rascals all together again, we head to Windenburg and jump around to the music. Lasers at a historical ruins site is everything I never knew I wanted to see.

If you had told me about this night three years ago, I would have been hyped, shocked, and jealous of my future self.

Who is this person that I keep running into? I try to engage a conversation with her, but she doesn’t speak to me. Or anyone else. I feel like she’s not with her usual crowd tonight.

Night bath! I hog the diving spot again.

You know what’s better than a regular night bath?

Night skinny dipping.

It does give us some ideas…

There’s a party in a background, but Hugo and I find interest in another kind of party.

Thank Plumbob for the lush vegetation at the bluffs.

Now to get back to our clothes discretely.

The Bluffs Again

It’s the last weekend of the year, so we head to the Windenburg Bluffs again.

Shanna and Charlotte chatting, away from everybody else, warms my heart.

They’re being joined by the Swimming Marie, who apparently can’t take a clue.

Leaving Romain alone, she joins and splashes them. Hugo watches, thinking I don’t notice the connections forming in his brain.

I know that smile.

He did. He splashed me.

Bad idea, my dude. I was prepared.

No hard feelings.

While Romain swims across the pond to meet with the girls (leave Charlotte and Shanna alone, Plumbob damn it!), I try to tell Hugo about the sea monster of Windenburg.

I’m not sure if he believes me, but it’s okay.

It’s a really nice afternoon.

Quick photoshoot with Hugo’s phone, because this is really the perfect setting.

I’d rather not admit how I got on top of this column.

… Or how many times I slipped.

Finally, some alone time for the two of them! And Shanna laughing so heartily; a rarity.

Literally hours later, the boys are still in a splashing contest. Please don’t pay attention to what the girls and I are doing in the background. We’re very invested in taking a few last pictures before graduation sends all of us in a different path.
